Christian Formation Commission

Christian Formation

This commission promotes and develops opportunities for lifelong faith formation aimed at personal conversion and growth in faith. The members collaborate with the pastor and staff in this area of mission on programs of evangelization and catechesis.

The commission may have committees, such as evangelization, child ministry, youth ministry, young adult ministry, adult and family ministry, and vocations. St. Gabriel Parish prides itself on our comprehensive Religious Education Programs for all ages.

We offer religious education programs for all ages from kindergarten through eleventh-grade confirmation to adult formation classes.  These classes are tailored to each age group thereby providing a catholic religious education in an age-appropriate environment. We believe our class structures better engage, and therefore better involve all of St. Gabriel's children.

For more information on each of these classes, please use the Christian Formation drop-down menu, or use the links below.

If you wish to speak with Dave Retseck (Adult Formation), Bonnie Schoofs (Children's Ministry), or Lea Rosenberg (Youth Ministry), please call the parish office at (262)628-1141.

If you are interested in a Catholic education for your child/ren, please visit our school website at www.sgabriel.org or contact Kimberly Lestina at klestina@sgabriel.org.   Tours are always available.  Come. See. Feel. the difference of faith-based education and see why so many familes choose St. Gabriel for thier child/ren's education.

Our Mission:
Driven by the Holy Spirit, we seek to help everyone to experience personal encounters with Jesus, knowing through Him their identity as children of the Father, discovering the depth of God’s love, and deepening their relationships with Him as disciples and friends.

Action Statement:
We will fulfill our mission by providing meaningful experiences for everyone to learn and grow…

…in their personal prayer;

…in their celebration of the sacraments, especially Eucharist and Reconciliation;

…in their understanding and integration of Sacred Scripture;

…through fostering of parish fellowship;

…through service to the “least” of Jesus’ people;

…in a fuller knowledge and appreciation of our rich Catholic Tradition.
