First Friday Devotions are a deeply revered practice in the Catholic Church, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This devotion stems from the apparitions of Jesus to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century, where He revealed His deep love for humanity and asked for special acts of reparation for sins committed against His Sacred Heart.

Observed on the first Friday of each month, these devotions include attending Mass, receiving Holy Communion, and spending time in prayer and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. The faithful often recite prayers such as the Litany of the Sacred Heart and offer acts of consecration and reparation.

The promises associated with First Friday Devotions are profound. Jesus promised Saint Margaret Mary that those who faithfully observe the nine consecutive First Fridays would receive special graces, including the gift of final perseverance and the assurance of receiving the sacraments at the time of death.

By participating in First Friday Devotions, Catholics deepen their relationship with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, expressing love, gratitude, and penance. This practice fosters a spirit of devotion and a deeper understanding of Christ's immense love and mercy.

Join us in this beautiful and powerful devotion, as we come together on the first Friday of each month to honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus and seek His boundless grace and blessings.
