RCIA (How to become Catholic)

OCIA

HOW DO I BECOME CATHOLIC?

What is God calling me to do?

OCIA, the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the process of preparation for adults or children who were not Baptized or those who were Baptized in another faith, and who desire to become Catholic. This is really a response to God inviting you to become closer to Him through the divine grace that is given in the sacraments. The journey usually begins in the fall of each year but can begin at any time and continues through the Easter season with receiving the Sacraments.

Everyone is welcome to inquire about how to become Catholic and encouraged to contact the parish or a friend on how to get started. Don’t hesitate to answer God and respond with trust and faith. Don’t be afraid to follow Jesus in a life of discipleship and joy!

If you would like more information about OCIA or would like to enroll in the OCIA journey of discipleship, contact Dave Retseck, Director of Discipleship and Adult Formation, at (262)628-1141, ext. 223 or dave.retseck@stgabrielhubertus.org.
