Middle School

Middle School

“Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity.”

-1 Timothy 4:12

Middle School students are exactly that – in the middle, between childhood and high school; they are exploring independence, and finding their own identity through their interests, friends, and faith.

We strive to provide an environment where middle schoolers can have the space to talk about their questions, build a Catholic community, and where they can encounter the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Through age-appropriate small groups and hands-on learning, students will grow in their understanding and relationship with Jesus.

Our small groups run at various times throughout the year. Families are asked to choose two small group sessions from the three that are offered.  Choose based on what works best with their schedule.

Students are also expected to attend an encounter experience*, the Youth Masses, and a service experience.

*Encounter experiences are retreats, prayer experiences, or larger events that draw the students into a deeper relationship with Christ.

In October 2024, we held our inaugural Middle School Retreat at the Catholic Ecology Center. The students participated in various team-building activities while discovering the beauty of God's gift of creation.  This retreat kicked off the 2024/2025 Formation year at St. Gabriel Parish.
