Meet Rachel Archibald

My name is Rachel Archibald and I look forward to assisting with the Children's Ministry program here at St. Gabriel. I have been a member at St. Gabriel Parish since 2009. My husband Andy and I have one son named Ben who recently began middle school. My desire to bring him up in our faith has brought me closer to God and on a faith journey of my own. Ever since he began Christian Formation at the age of 5, I immediately fell in love with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. Two years later I was volunteering as an aide for the program, and spent my next four summers in week-long intensive formation and training to be a catechist in the program. I am now fully trained to teach levels 1 and 2 in our CGS atria. I continue to learn and grow in my faith and continue to look forward to sharing it with our children in the atrium sot that they might come to know and love Jesus more deeply.

I am a former high school math teacher and math interventionist. A variety of life events have brought that chapter of my life to a close and presented me with new opportunities. I am looking forward to helping with planning, communicating and organizing various aspects of our Children’s Ministry program alongside the Director of Children’s Ministry.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, stamping and card-making, creating projects with my Silhouette Cameo, reading, playing word games, vacationing in Door County, and cheering on the Packers, Bucks and Brewers.
